This one-day event will bring together representatives from over 100 of the nation’s leading African-American social justice, advocacy and membership organizations, as well as leaders from the academic, foundation, human resources, and public sector communities in a critically important dialogue on the leadership crisis and strategies being sought to retain the current generation and cultivate the next generation of African-American nonprofit leadership.

This first-of-its-kind event will serve multiple purposes:

• To stimulate into action nonprofit organizations serving the African-American community to look at leadership development and sustainability as a critical business imperative driving organizational success;
• To drive nonprofit organizations serving the African-American community to invest tangible, meaningful resources into the development and continued growth of human resources capacity within their organizations; and
• To create an informal network of leaders and professionals working with nonprofit organizations serving the African-American community to share resources and best practices with the goal of strengthening the next generation of African-American, nonprofit leadership.
